Renée Aberdam, philosopher, writer ->
The total depreciation of the Polish Austrian exchange made it necessary for her to leave Geneva in 1922. She always worked as a journalist and writer for the rapproachment of peoples. She endeavored to gain appreciation for the productive work of each population which enlarges the civilization, yet keeps the real national physionomie. The line of her studies was rather complicated and original; no schools, no examinations; not the traditional education of a prewar young girl. When she was 28 years old she was accepted at the School of Social Studies in Geneva without a secondary education. The scientific work which she performed during her studies were highly appreciated by her professors.

Anna Berkovcova, Professor, ->
She is the founder of the organization of Bohemian Girl Scouts. Together with Mrs. Ruzena Pelantova, she founded the Association of Czechoslovakian Housewives.

Hélène d'Abancourt de Franqueville, author, librarian ->
She is the first female librarian in Poland. She speaks Latin, French, English, Italian, German, Ruthenian, Serbo-Croation, and Polish. During the war she worked in many organizations, nursed the wounded ones and organized a committee for the assistance of the properties in the East in 1918. She delivers patriotic speeches in political assemblies in Cracow and in the provinces and she took an active part in the movement for the emancipation of women.

Augustinowicz de Odrowaz, Ladislawa Dabrowska, Paintress ->
She received education and artistical instruction in Cracow and began in this city with her artistical career. She participated in the general organization of artistical life in Cracow and in the Society for "the Encouragement of Plastic Arts". In 1925 she became a member of the artistical society "Jednorog".

Helmi Einer, Opera-singer (lyric-dramatical soprano) and singing teacher of Estonian Conservatory in Tallinn ->
She was living in Russia up to 1912, began with singing lessons while she was in school. Later in Petersburg, she participated in the Estonian Society circles in Petersburg and also in the performances and concerts of the Estonian and Russian Theaters. In 1912 she was invited to Estonia with the operetta troup of the theater "Estonia"; first as a soubrette, than as primadonna. In 1918 there was founded, assisted by her influence, an opera-troup attached to the theater where she was the first singer (primadonna). She was also singing in symphonic concerts and gave her own concerts in Estonia as well as in foreign countries. In 1932 she was nominated teacher of the Estonian State Music High school. She is fond of agriculture, especially of cultivating gardens and she is Landed Proprietor in South-Estonia.

She participated in movements and questions affecting the position of women.

Anna (penname: Haava) Haavakivi, Estonian writer ->
Her first lessons were with her mother, then private teachers on the country, college with a private teacher and an examination in Tartu. She is single and she worked in the home of her parents as a peasant. At 6 years she was a geese shepherdess, when she grew up she worked in housekeeping, nursing of sick-ones. She worked as a writer and also gave lessons. She is now retired.

Her chief activity was collaborating to her husband's work.

Casimiera Illakowicz, Councillor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs ->
She was a military nurse during the World war. Since May 1926 she is private secretary to Marshal Pilsudski. She lectured in English during 1931-1933 in Génèva, Prague and Copenhague on moral disarmament. The title of her lextures: "The Curse of Babel", "Why Enemies are lovable".

Anna Karima, authoress ->
She is the mother of 3 children and the founder of several women's associations: "Association of Bulgarian women for egality"; "The House for Children" in Sofia and of "Commercial College for girls", etc.. In 1901 there was performed on the stage in St. Petersburg her dramatic composition "Into Balkans". In 1921 was celebrated the 30 year's commemoration of her writing. In 1933 she called the representatives of Balkan peoples for a Balkan Conference in Salonica, Greece, in order to work for peace in the Balkan.

Marya Kasierska, Authoress, journalistic literary critic, Warsaw, Poland ->
She earned her own living since 1919 and made many travels every year in Europe and Africa (Algeria, Morocco). She lived an absolutely independent life with no assistance from a party or government.

Anna Kethly, Member of Parliament; Independently Employed ->
She wrote propagandistic essays, etc. and gave speeches in Parliament on women's suffrage; disarmament, etc.

Berta Pipina, Deputy of the Sacima (Parliament); deputy of city of Riga; President of the Women's Union ->
She made many trips to foreign countries and is a known politician and champion for women's rights since 1919 in the city council of Riga. She was in charge of the social relief work in the city. In 1931 she was elected to Parliament as the only woman (99 men).

Suzanne Rabska, Literary woman, journalist, poetress, authoress ->
Since 1925 she writes articles and literary "compte-rendus" in the newspaper "Kurjer Warszawski" and she is the author of poetries, novels, short novels, fairy tales for children and translations.

Marie Hédvige Reutt, Writer ->
Under the Russian Government, she worked for 12 years with the secret society of popular instruction in Warsaw. She was caught and imprisoned for three months in 1905 and was released after having given security. She domiciled in Kowno and again took over her secret work. In 1906 she worked in Lwów as collaborator to a newspaper for the youth "Maly Swiatek" and another for Women of lower classes and for the society of popular instruction. During the war she organized popular schools in the province of Lublin. She is the author of books for the youth and for the population.

Hélène Romer-Ochenkowzka, Journalist and writer ->
She worked since 1912 for the military organization of Pilsudski. During the war worked for the Legions in the hospitals and boarding stations. Since her 17th year she worked for the instruction of the population in the country and in the cities. She wrote several books to assist the women who she organised for this work. She was a lecturer in secret schools from 1891-1905 and she obtained a decoration for 25 years of work.

Mihal Sherko, Director of Press Bureau of the Albanian Royal Government ->
He is the organizer of the Albanian Women Society, 1930-1931.

Jeanne Stephanopoli, Journalist ->
She is the first woman student at a Greek University. Since 1913 she is the director and political editor of the "messager d'Athènes", founded by her father in 1875;

Ruzena Vackova, ? ->
She delivered lectures for the erection of a Girl's College, for free choice of profession and for the women's vote. She is the Chairman of the Women-Association "Vlasta" at Wischau and of "Vesna" at Brno. She gives lectures on women's duties and rights in public life. During the war she was chairman of the economic section of the Red Cross Hospital at Wischau.

Cecilie Walewska, Publicist, writer ->
She was devoted to the education of young Polish girls during the Russian occupation, due to it, she was imprisoned and exiled to Ischewsk (Central Russia). After her deliverance she devoted all her activity to social works and founded a school for workers and a Society for the professional education of young women.

Marie Bianka Joanne Countess Wielopolska, Writer and journalist ->
Since she was 13 years old she wrote for newspapers in Lwów, Cracow and Warsaw. The year 1912 was decisive for her. She got in connection with political conspiratory spheres and devoted all her literary activity to the Polish independence and to the party of Marshal Pilsudski.
